Team Giblin raises $1260.00 for “HOPE WALKS”!!! November 11, 2007

We spent a cool Saturday at Land Park volunteering for an event put on by Bayside church, Global Strategies and others.  “Hope Walks” is an event created by children for children.  The event raises funds for and awareness of our ever increasing global orphan epidemic.  It gives our children the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of  orphans and vulnerable children.  Just $1 will provide medication to prevent transmission of HIV from a mother to her child.  $10 will purchase two mosquito nets to protect from malaria.  $100 will pay for a childs school tuition for one year.  If you’d like to learn more, please go to www.globalstrategies.org
