JENNA!

Filed under: Uncategorized — jgiblin @ 4:27 pm

I had so much fun with Jenna, her mom and their cute little pup.  We experimented with the wind machine and fake snow… a bit of a learning curve but I think we managed to get some cute shots.  Later we headed down to Old Sac and had a blast goofing around.  Thanks Jenna for such a great morning!

jaz-senior-photos-034-copy-copyJaz, her MeeMee and I headed up the hill to the amazing state park, Empire Mines.  Such beautiful grounds and an incredible day! We decided to head up there for her photos because of the adorable cottage, colorful leaves and beautiful fountains.  It was just a perfect day.  Stayed tuned for part 2… the studio session.

2nd annual Jessica Giblin Photography employee holiday party at World Headquarters!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — jgiblin @ 5:22 pm

holiday-2-006-copy-copyI can’t believe it’s been a whole year since our first employee holiday party.  I feel so fortunate so have such a supportive and hard working team. Thank you Shannon, Sally and Jim for your loyalty and dediction!

We schlepped our vintage orange couch out to Old Town for some fun and funky family photos.  Sally was there to photograph our family and help out with Shannon’s family.  Unfortunately,  family photos for Sally needed to be put on hold.  We’ll post them as soon as we get them!

We then ordered pizza from “Basic”… one of our favorite Roseville restaurants and continued the party at “World Headquarters” ( my house) 🙂

Deidra is a teenager!

Filed under: Uncategorized — jgiblin @ 2:10 am

deidra-bday-029-copycopyOur beautiful friend, Deidra, turned into a “mean-ager” earlier this month.  She’s 13! I can’t believe it… I held her the day she was born. Time sure does fly.  I dont think she’ll actually ever be a “mean-ager” though.  She is way too sweet! We had fun with her friends last night.  They applied make-up and came over for a mini-glamour session.
Happy Birthday sweet girl! We love you.

November 4th Election Day (and my Dad’s b-day) November 9, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — jgiblin @ 4:58 am

giblin-misc-195-copycopyAs we all know, there was something different about the election this go around. The excitement, the record numbers of voters braving the weather and long lines, and what I personally loved… kids getting interested in politics.  There was so much buzz among the high-schoolers.  Daily conversations not only about the next president but the propositions as well.  Even though they weren’t of voting age, they seemed to believe (rightfully so, I think) that their futures were directly affected by the choices made on Nov. 4th.  We watched the results and celebrated the night at an election party in Auburn.
