You could get some yummy goodness like this! Become a fan!!
Adorable Kate, Cuddly Klaire. Possibly two of the sweetest, squeezable little sisters I’ve had come into the studio. I had these visions…a perfect session played out in my mind. All of my ideas I’d been saving and pinning. HA! I laugh in my own face. Really ? I’ve been doing this since 2000…. I’ve raised 2 children for goodness sakes. How do I not remember that a two year old and a four month old are my subjects. A TWO YEAR OLD! It went something like this…. “Hug daddy’s neck for a minute…. Can you look at your baby sister? Okay wait ,wait… I need to get sister to look over here… (while she’s engrossed in sucking her hand) Okay, she’s looking.. wait. Where are you going? Outside? Um. Can you just go see daddy really quick? Okay, good job! Oops… hold on sissy’s not looking. You want outside? Okay, let’s go outside while Klaire eats a little. Can we just take a few more. No? Can you show me how you dance? Oh, you want to dance over there? hmmm. Can you come over here just for a minute. I want to show you something.” I laugh out loud when I think about this. At the end of our 2 hour session, we were all covered in sweat and some of us in tears. But you know what? I love these images. These are of a young family. A family with a two year old and a four month old. And sometimes family is unpredictable, messy, and lively. When I look at these images I see personalities in those little faces, spirit-ness and a whole lot of love. And I just can’t always plan for that.
This adorable baby girl is new to our neighborhood. The youngest of 3 for my good good friend, neighbor and former second shooter- Sally.
She is a tiny little bundle of love and I had so much fun photographing her fresh new-ness.

I am continually, pleasantly shocked that since 2000 I’ve been doing something that I love. Something that brings me joy and gets me jumping out of bed in the morning. With the economic situation I expected photography would be considered a “luxury” item. This has been such a surprising year. 2011 continued to bring us amazing clients who believed in us and gave us complete creative freedom. Clients that recognize the importance of photography; That it captures all aspects of beauty in life. It preserves family history and helps us all recollect our past. THANK YOU to all of you trusted us to capture your history. May 2012 bring you many blessings and much love!
I’m writing with a thankful and full heart. For so many things I’m grateful, it’s embarrassing.
I consider my family the biggest and most amazing gift. I cherish these guys through and through. Through the tantrums, the barf-O-ramas, the tears, the belly laughs, the mow hawks….I wouldn’t change a thing. We’ve grown up together, these 3 and I. Every stage in our family has brought new discoveries, challenges and more love. I look forward to what our future holds as our family grows up…. new worlds to explore, new relationships to form, new territories to visit. I hope I accept it all with grace and continued gratitude. For what I have had and for what will come. I wish you all laughter and so much love this new year and always!
